Thespys® Registration

How it Works:

Students choose a category and select approved material with their Troupe/Theatre Director. (Can participate in up to three)
Review the Rules & Rubrics for Thespys and for the categories chosen.
Troupe/Theatre Directors register all student entries using the online sign-up form by January 5th.
Payment is due by January 12th by card or by check (payment details below).
Students prepare using the official rules and rubrics. Room assignments and times are emailed closer to the Festival.
Students present for adjudication at the Festival and receive written feedback and a rating.
Students earning a Superior rating may qualify for ITF finals in June (in-person or virtual).

Multiple entries: Students may enter more than one category at the state level, but may not submit more than one entry in the same category. At the national level, only one entry per category may advance to ITF finals.

Thespys Registration Open: November 10th, 2025

Thespys Registration Due (via Troupe Director): Monday, January 5, 2026 by 5:00 PM

Thespys Payments Due: January 12, 2026

Entry Fee: $15 per category (Online Card Payments: $16.10 per category (includes processing fee))

After submitting the registration form, please use the payment options below to complete this student’s registration.

Thespys® Terms & Policies:

Troupe Directors must submit student registrations by January 5th, 2026.
Students under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian to participate. Troupe Directors are responsible for confirming this permission.
Thespys registration is separate from Festival registration. Students must be registered for the Festival through their Troupe Director in order to participate.
Fees are nonrefundable after January 12th, 2026.
Participation does not guarantee advancement to ITF finals.
Adjudicator fairness policies apply (no adjudicator will be assigned to their own student’s category).
By participating, students and teachers agree to all Festival Terms & Conditions.

Thespys® Entry Payments

Each Thespys® entry is $15 per category. Online credit card payments include processing fees for a total of $16.10 per category.
